​HATHA YOGA CLASS

Hatha yoga is a general category that includes most yoga styles. It is an old system that includes the practice of asanas (yoga postures) and pranayama (breathing exercises), which help bring peace to the mind and body, preparing the body for deeper spiritual practices such as meditation.

My name is Sierra Altenbach and I am a yoga enthusiast with a knack for making connections. I believe yoga fosters community and connection which is why I am so excited to be here! I have personally been involved with yoga since 2017 and became an instructor in 2018. As a yoga instructor, I feel it is important to hold space for individuals as well as to collectively tap into and harness our inner power to create positive ripple effects everywhere we go. I believe, whole-heartedly, that I was brought to yoga for waking up my heart and my mind. I was stuck in a mental pattern that wasn’t fulfilling me, and yoga propelled me into huge mental, emotional and spiritual shifts. And now, I strongly stand by my dreams to help transform our community one breathe at a time! Please join me in class; I encourage the use of props to help embolden & amplify our practice. Additionally, I enact body mindful language throughout class to create a safe space for every individual to fully be themselves. I hope to meet you in class and connect with you!
